SuperTune SR86 Corolla..

Hi guys,

My name is Peden, I have been on the U for years.. I live in Ireland and I use to bring in Skylines from Japan and modify them, drift them and normally just end up selling them and starting new projects..

A good friend of mine was always (then un known) Darren McNamara (you'd know him as D-MAC - He now drives for Team Falken Tire in FormulaD) ..any true Hachi head would/should know him - He is guy who traveled to the states to put it to the Japs in Irwindale in a SR20DET powered AE86 he had buildt in a shed by himself..

Darren and I have now matured (slightly) and together we run MCNSPORT near Cork in Ireland.

We build GT, Rally and Drift cars in our shop - We also produce frp and carbon parts as well as fabricating everything for our projects in-house.

Here's one of our projects we are working on now, as per usual this one is getting the full works.. stripped down, sandblasted, seam welded, SR20'ed, MCNSPORT caging, MCNSPORT BLUE painted with underbody parts painted MCNSPORT GREEN, WORK wheel'ed, carbon dash, carbon hood, carbon roof, carbon firewall, carbon doors etc etc

I'd like to show you more AE86 projects if you guys want to see...?? Just let me know - To admin, if this is too much please let me know.

This is what we have done so fare..

Chassis on spit after seamwelding, MCNSPORT AE86 cage, wheel well tubbing, tunnel modification, chassis lightening (extreme lightening) and finally sandblasted:

Chassis just after it being sprayed custom MCNSPORT BLUE:

Here we have fitted a complete Nissan S14 subframe to the rear and painted it MCNSPORT GREEN, we have also fitted new PowerFlex bushes:

Here we have the new fuel cell fitted+new fuel pump, with nice and clean braded hoses, pedals-gear lever-steering col-brake and clutch mater cyl refurbished and re-fitted: (EXCUSE THE DUST!!)

We also fitted a vertical hyd e-brake and turned the piston upside down so as to completely hide the pipes, ones seat is installed - NICE!

Here you see the hyd e-brake nearly fitted:

Here we have the newrear coilovers fitted, along with most of the suspension arms (Everything is being changed/modified) - Naturally the discs will be changed along with new pads, however this is only a small/quick job and will be done when nessesary:

Here we have closer pics of the MCNSPORT engine mounts and MCNSPORT Gearbox mount:

Hi there folks,

With Darren and myself being on the road as much a we have this year, I have not been so good at posting the pics as work progresses - SO.. here's some of the work we have done to this project since last..

We have the rear completely done now, with every part replaced and dialed in - This AE86 look 100% new, because it is - and it's is seriously going to turn heads upon completion.. Rear suspension has been adjusted and fitted probably, brake lines done, new discs added and the new calipers and pads are to be added shortly..

We also have the custom rad done now and it's ready to be fitted, once we take delivery of the custom front mounted intercooler - Which will be v-mounted like on the MCNSPORT.com SR86 Corolla - Once this arrives, we will get it fitted and fully functional.

Right as promised.. an update for you lot!

Front end now nearly completely done, Front suspension still needs to be upgraded with MCNSPORT front AE86 coilovers - notice the difference in colour and finished between the new parts (fitted) and old parts (on the ground) ...slight difference!

As per usual with all the project we have going on at the moment and with us now preparing for the 2009 season which is starting in a few months time, this will just be a quick update... BUT, a very tasty update ..see for yourself!

We have completed the brackets for mounting the custom rad and v-mounting the custom intercooler - Sit back, relax and enjoy!

seems like a lot of the AE86 guys are swapping to SR's. my engine lift is actually being borrowed to a guy who is doing an SR86 build.
