Car trouble?

So this past weekend I start to smell a burning scent while I am driving. First I thought it was the car in front of me since it was a pretty old POS. But then yesterday going into work I smelled it again.. Like something is burning. Not sure if it is my oil. Any suggestions on what it might be? I have a 1998 Toyota Corolla no issues or problems just yet. I really don't want to get another car just yet. It has 1137xx on it right now. Taking it in to get checked tomorrow. And today I didn't smell it... yet. Lol.

Hmmn, must be burned fuse alternator? Ground wire? Or electrical connections? Best to have it checked by an auto mechanic mate.

I can't really describe it. And I don't think I've ever smelled burning oil so I can't pinpoint it there. I have an appointment tomorrow at 8am at a Goodyear. I refuse to take the car to a dealership for obvious expense reasons. I doubt it's my tires either, I still have my snows on and I was driving on the expressway I wasn't doing burn outs or anything. LOL

my best advice would be put the car on jacks (make sure its secure) and look under while the car is running and put it in gear so the gears and everything would start moving to see if anything leaks. wear eye protection. check everything wires/ plugs/ cv axles/ oil pan etc.... diagnost time! lol

Lol. I don't have any jack stands. The fiance does but I was going to drop it off at Goodyear this morning anyway. So we'll see what they say. Thanks in advance guys! =) If it's going to cost me anywhere near $1000 I'll probably end up just getting a newer Accord.

Is your car 5spd? If so check your clutch fluid reservoir.
Maybe your gears need oiled? I don't know. lol

Nah its a auto. But it is a oil leak.

Oh no none taken! =) But I know what you mean. At this point in time I don't plan on fixing it because I plan on getting a newer Honda Accord soon anyway. So I am keeping an eye on it. He told me ym tires are wearing really good too and to get an alignment. But ehh.. whatever. Hopefully the car will last me til I get my next 5% raise in about a few months maybe another month tops. And then I can get my car. It was at a Goodyear I went to. I don't like taking the car to a regular dealership since they charge up the ying yang. But they told me at Goodyear they can drain the oil put some stuff in it again and then take a light to see where its coming from. He said its minor right now and good thing I caught it and knew something was up rather than later....?
