need info on turbo supra

I just bought an 89 turbo supra. i was just wonderin what the specs were on it. what it runs in the 1/4 And how much boost i can run on stock turbo and motor. shIt like that. please help.

Its not terribly fast. It'll run probably high 16's stock. I wouldn't up the boost on the 7m without replacing the headgasket as they are known to fail. Or just swap in a 1jz.

free up the exhuast sytem, if you dont want to buy a fcb exhaust just find test pipes. removing cats and bigger pipping (down pipe too) along with an intake will most give you somewhere from 20-50 whp no problem. Might raise boost a lil on its own too...

how much are you boosting rite now? they boosted at 7 stock, but the wastegate spring has usually weakened over the years. my 88 only pushed 4 lbs when i got it a few months ago. if u want i can tell you how to shim the wastegate and up the boost easy. stock ct26 turbos can push up to about 12 lbs of boost. if you plan on keeping the 7m in it, you need to replace the headgasket and not rev to high or boost over 7 lbs until you do. go check out supramania.com its all about mk3 supras and super helpful. you can find just about everything you need over there.

They can make a lot of power for really cheap. Intake and exhaust is first step (and will make a HUGE difference). The headgaskets arent all that bad. I have owned supras for 5 years, beat on them all day and have yet to blow a head gasket.

when i first got mine it wasnt very fast...now that ive got intake, and 3 in turbo back exhaust at 7/8 pounds of boost i take s2ks and mustang gts. XD well, ive pulled on one of each. lol.
