Hi guys so im about to buy a 94 celica gt with 128,000 miles.

Im wondering if anyone would know what i could do to the engine because i berely find intake and headers and thats it.

that year Celica GT has the 7afe, i think. You can swap a head from a 4age, swap in a 4age (16v or 20v), or swap in a 4agze (supercharged 4age, stronger internals) All of those options are relatively simple.

Do some research and find what will be best for you.

94 celica st: 7a-fe - your options are the A series engines (anything with an "A" after the number) - i reccomend the 4A-GZE because it has stronger internals and comes with a supercharger (which you can swap for a turbocharger if you desire, though i don't know how much work that would be). it also has VVT-I or VVTL-i if i'm not mistaken.

94 celica gt: 5s-fe - your options are the S series engines (anything with an "S" after the number). i reccomend the 3S-GTE (gen3/gen4) engine, swap on a larger turbo, MAYBE a port and polish, a new intake manifold (to stabilize cylinder 3), the apropriate ECU, and a high dollar intercooler.... you're also probably going to want a lighter flywheel and an adjustable cam gear (unless you get the gen4 of the 3S-GTE, which has VVTL-i)...

and ALWAYS get a performance rebuild AND get an engine ballance when finished.

i'm currently upgrading my 94 celica GT right now too, i FINALLY decided on the engine.. 3S-GTE (st205), and just talked to someone back home that will swap it for me.. his cost: beer.... i can live with that..

the JZ series engines are RWD.. the cams are parallel to the transmission.. not to mention i doubt one would fit in a celica...

i WAS thinking about the 2ZZ-GTE for a while though.. decided the cost wasn't worth it and i'm worried cutting and welding for the engine mounts would make the mounts weak......

hahahhahha.. I wish the celicas came RWD though.. it would be a nice fit for me and my tuning.. haha.. 2ZZ-GTE sounds nice, but if it was that, I would just stick to the last-gen celicas with that.. sometimes I regret getting my 6th gen but I wanted something unique that nobody has and plus, I hella needed a car..

Im looking at a 3S-GE that came out of a SW20 but I heard it would be complicated and would be a wrong fit for the celica.. *sigh* the negativity of having a 6th gen
