CRX Foglights Install
By: Mtrujillo42

Well I got the Fog Lights on, and you guys are going to trip out on the little discovery that I made while I was going through the process of getting these badboys installed.

I'll breakdown everything that I did. So as many of you know I was a little bummed because I knew the Brackets that came with the Fog Lights were intended to be used with the Accord and not for the EF. So anyway I figured I would go to my friends garage and try to modify the brackets to fit my car and this is were some discoveries were made!

So first thing is first, you have to take your front end off. You want to start by removing your corner lights, and then proceed to removing your bumper. The bumper itself is bolted on with 5 screws on top and 2 screws on the sides in front of the tires. Once you have these removed you can gently remove your bumper from the bumper support! If done correctly you should end up with something like this!!

I went ahead and left the bumper support on figuring that I would somehow modify it...So from here I went ahead and continued on to the bumper itself as you can see I cut the hole out for the fogs, but if you look closely at your bumper (and I should have taken a picture before cutting) you can actually see the outline of were you are suppose to cut! So I went ahead and cut both holes using a dremel wich makes life so much easier.

I've outlined were you are suppose to cut in this picture!

So once I had the hole's cut we went ahead and put the bumper back on to test fit lights (with the Brackets off) now keep in mind I had yet to take off the Bumper support off…so after looking at things I noticed that I would be able to drill a hole on top the bumper support and use the that as the bracket. So I went ahead and removed the 4 bolts that hold the support in place

And that is when I noticed something intresting…I sat in front of the car and a grabbed a bracket that was suppose to be for the Accord and I noticed something were the holes were linning up. But real quickly let me show you the differences in the brackets! These are the ones I got…

The JDM and USDM Bracket side by Side (I got this pict off another site)

And then I noticed some intresting on the car were the support was...these 2 holes caught my eye on the car!!

I noticed that the Accord brackets were the same length as the two holes on the car so we bolted the Accord Bracket on, and WALA!! This is what you end up with. A perfect fitting bracket

So we went ahead and bolted up the brackets put the bumper back on (left the support off) and bolted the lights on and this is what you get…

So after we got all the hardware installed, we moved on to wiring up the FogLights. Lucky for me they still had the pigtails plugged in so there would be no splicing here!!

My Buddy ran to AutoZone and bought a Auxilary light wire harness (without realy)...

Once we had the plugs terminated and everything we went ahead and wired everything up really quick to make sure the lights were working!

Once everything was working we went ahead and bolted everything back on and wired it all up…
I also figured out the switch and only used the On/Off feature, but I will be getting the original switch sometime this weekend…so here are the final picts of the setup.

Sorry about the picts but the nightmode is my camera is really not that great And here are a few after I installed the SI lip. One thing really quick that I didn't mention was that we left the Bumper support off or else it would have never fit! But Overall they look really good!

If you have any questions, just let me know! Email me of PM me and I will gladly hep you out!!
