ORANGE GAUGE CLUSTER NEEDLES
By: CLENGSTER_77

First of all I would like to thank schwanginpt for making this possible. Here’s one of my projects. Hope this will help you guys.

THINGS NEEDED:

1. Flourescent Orange spray paint
2. 1/2 inch thick masking tape
3. some cottons
4. Rubbing Alcohol
5. Phillips Screwdriver (+)
6. LOT’S OF PATIENCE

STEPS:

1. Taking off the CLUSTER HOOD:

There are a total of 4 (+) screws u need to remove in able for you to take off the CLUSTER HOOD. (this steps are only applied for Efs as far as I know). Once you already removed all the screws, remove the HAZARD SWITCH TERMINAL. Now you can remove the CLUSTER HOOD and put it in a safe place.

2. Taking off the GAUGE CLUSTER:

Remove the 4 (+) screws holding the GAUGE. Gently pull the harness clips behind the CLUSTER while pressing the harness clip lock. Now you can remove the CLUSTER and work in a more comfortable place.

3. Taking off the GAUGE CLUSTER LENSE:

a) Remove the bulb connecting to the top lights of the cluster.

b) Press and Push PLASTIC TABS gently. There’s a total of 4 TABS. 2 on top and the other 2 on the bottom.

c) This is how the cluster will look.

4. Taking off the GAUGE ASSEMBLY:

a.)Remove (+) screws at the back of the panel.

b)Now you will only have this

5. Masking and Cleaning the GAUGE ASSEMBLY:

a)Make sure to mask the GAUGE properly coz you don’t want to have orange paints on unwanted areas. I don’t have the actual pic of the masked gauge so I just made one for you to have an idea. Make sure to mask even the round black thing that surrounds the needle. What I really used to mask my GAUGE is a 3M Masking Tape.

b)Put a little amount of RUBBING ALCOHOL on your cotton and wipe the needles to remove the dirt.

6. Painting the NEEDLES:

a)Spray thin coat of paint and let it dry a bit before recoating it again to avoid it from dripping. Spray until you reach the desired needle shade.

7. Putting the GAUGE CLUSTER back:

When the paint is already dry, you can now reassemble the GAUGE CLUSTER. Just follow the instructions backwards and you’re done!!! ORANGE NEEDLES…gives a more JDM LOOK
